DMC Nova Vita No. 4 Metallic is a cord yarn made from recycled textiles. The Metallic series is an extension of the existing Nova Vita No. 4 colours, with the addition of a recycled metallic thread. The subtle shimmer makes this yarn perfect for festive December projects, but it is also ideal for luxurious décor, fashion and home accessories, and much more.
The yarn is made entirely from recycled materials, making it an eco-friendly choice for crafting. Nova Vita is produced from textile waste that is ground, dyed, and respun. It also comes in recycled packaging that can be planted instead of discarded: the banderol is made from seed paper, containing seeds. For the Metallic series, the paper contains silver fir seeds, in keeping with the festive season.
The cord yarn has a diameter of 2.50–3.00 mm and consists of a woven outer layer around a thinner core, providing strength and durability.
DMC Nova Vita No. 4 Metallic is available in 6 beautiful metallic shades. It is composed of 75% recycled cotton, 15% recycled polyester, and 10% recycled metallic thread and carries the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. It is washable up to 30°C. The recommended needle size is 5.00 mm for knitting and 4.00 mm for crochet.
Each ball of Nova Vita No. 4 Metallic weighs 250 grams and has a length of 200 metres.
